Welcome to The Burmese Cat Association

Helen HewittI have kept various studs (Abby, Bengal, Birman and most importantly Burmese) since 1973. I always supervise all matings for two days, then I allow the queen and stud to run together, mating at will until the queen leaves. It is so much nicer for the stud, particularly if he lives alone. I can count on one hand the number of times I have had to have a queen back; due I am sure to the natural way they are able to mate. Also for the last 20 years or so my boys have always had a companion living with them, if handled carefully there is no problem reintroducing the companion once the visitor has left. I know this latter idea is not an essential, but it makes a happier life for the stud.
